Breaking News! Capital City Crabapple to host the 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships
The NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee has announced the 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships will be held at the Capital City Club's Crabapple course May 28-June 2, and Georgia Tech will remain the host institution.
"The committee is pleased to award the 2013 championship to Georgia Tech and the Capital City Club Crabapple." said Darin Spease, chair of the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee and senior associate athletic director at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. "We are confident that Georgia Tech's outstanding hosting capabilities over the last several years, combined with the remarkable job that Capital City Club Crabapple did at the 2010 NCAA Division I Men's Golf regional, will provide a memorable championship experience for our student-athletes."
The championship will be in Atlanta for the first time, and Georgia Tech will be the host of the event for the first time. Tech has previously hosted three NCAA regional tournaments, in 2002 at Ansley Golf Club at Settindown Creek, in 2007 at the Golf Club of Georgia and last spring at the Capital City ClubCrabapple.
